When we think of the attributes of what it takes to be a great leader, whether that’s at work or in a community we think of words such as; strong, bold, champion. But often it’s compassion that makes a great leader.
The ability to empathise and understand. To not make rash decisions but be fair. To not shout the loudest but be patient and listen to the knowledge that others have.
Perhaps it’s that too many people consider themselves leaders rather than consider it a term to be earnt.
It’s just a thought but maybe we forget that,”The way to changes others minds is through affection, not through anger.” Dalai Lama
